Sandy Robinson I have one of similar circumstances. She got out when we had a mattress delivered. Was gone 3 months and finally a neighbor saw her under her shed. That was 4 years ago, never tried to go out again.

Gene Martin the woods go at least a mile down the road and some areas are impossible to walk. Thank you.

Sandy Robinson I lost two cats several years back. I walked an hour every night after work searching and calling. Even spent 3 hours staking out a shed because l caught a glimpse of a tail going under it. I put an open can of tuna beside it and set in my jeep with my binoculars. Turned out it was a ground hog. But l never realized that shortly after a mile away l would be feeding that can to my female cat Molly. I left that laundry mat with my can of tuna and drove into a parking lot behind a church in the neighborhood. I saw a couple children tossing a frisbee and l described my cat's to them. They both said yes there is a cat living under that porch . I immediately went to it and peered through the lattus and there she was. She was scared, it had been 9 days, and she wouldn't come out. That's when l remembered the tuna, l went and got it and right away she came out. She was so hungry she almost ate the can itself. After putting her in my jeep l started walking around looking around the bushes in the area. That's when l smelled a strong odor of cat urine. I then set out more food the next day and my male cat Leroy stepped out from the bush. I was so lucky. My daughter had turned them loose from our house only two blocks away. I had walked that area several times calling them but they wouldn't come out. They were too scared. Don't give up. I may drive that road soon and look around for you. But tomorrow l am stuck waiting on a plumber. So it will probably be Friday. If l see anything l will contact you from this post. I wish you all luck.

If he is an indoor cat he will seek refuge in a shrub or bush or under a porch or shed... And he won't come out if you call him. He's almost certainly within 2 blocks of your house. Here's what l recommend, place a bowl of his dry food on your porch with a bowl of water. And then hang a pair of your dirty worn socks out on that porch. A cat will smell that scent when the wind is blowing. And good luck.
