Description

Smallish black cat has been roaming my neighborhood since early spring 2026, occasionally with another calico cat. This cat runs away if approached. I personally first noticed this cat in May 2026. My neighbors often see this cat around, such as in their backyards trying to catch birds. I haven't been able to get close enough to see if it has a clipped ear. One person who lives several blocks away commented on my Nextdoor post that this black cat may be the one who sleeps in her garage with a calico cat when it is cold outside.

I sometimes see people posting about their lost black cats, so I wanted to share in hopes that this black cat could find its home. It may have been living on its own for quite some time.

Bridget Cooper hi yes the timeframe seems right and my kid is usually friendly but being out since early May I think probably became more skittish. And honestly, you guys are not too far for me. I’m just before the front door shopping center. If you can talk with your Neighbor, contact me directly if you can and let’s try to meet up somehow when the kitty is around that I could see if it’s my boy. It did send me to some kind of weird email thing through the paw booster.

This cat may be hanging out at a neighbor's house and sleeping in her garage when it gets cold. Do you think it is your cat? I can check these messages tonight.
