Mollie is a very skittish dog who will not come to you have called, so it's best not to approach her, yell to her or chase her. I am working with rescue professionals to recover her in a humane trap. Mollie was last seen on November 15th just north of New Hope Commons off 15-501. She may be in northern Chapel Hill or southern parts of Durham or Hillsborough.

Mollie is still loose. She may have crossed I-40 heading northward towards the rural buffer north of Chapel Hill, perhaps towards Duke Forest or Johnston Mill Nature Reserve.

She has been tracked on three separate occasions in northeastern Chapel Hill. We believe she is scavenging food from backyards usually in the early morning hours, lured by recent grilling. She is fast and you may only see her as a running black dog with white feet. You may also pick her up on a motion sensitive camera.
