Hello - don't give up hope. I lived up the road near 3 Spgs. I had a cat that went on "walkabout" for a month then returned, twice. At first, I thought he was a goner, but then he came back. He was off having fun in the canyon. Follow suggestions, like putting out a blanket or shirt with your scent on it. Definitely NOT the litterbox which can attract other unfriendly animals or predators. Put out water. Probably best not to put out food. He could return on his own after awhile. If you have neighbors nearby you could talk with them to watch out for your cat hiding in a barn or shed or something. Have you walked around your area calling him? He might answer if he's hiding nearby. Is he an indoor or outdoor cat? Put up some local flyers. Wish you good luck. Hope you find him.
