White Maltese mix, thin, brown freckles on nose, limps when walking, right eye is cloudy due to vision problems, walks in circles because of this

Message from Owner

Hello this is Polly. She is a 13 year old Maltese mix weighing around 13 lbs. Unfortunately, the door was left open September 4, 2026 at about 7 am. and she walked herself out. She was last seen by a couple people near Dakota St. in Anaheim. She is an older dog who suffers from joint problems including her vision. Her right eye is cloudy as opposed to her left eye which she primarily relies on. Because of this, she does bump into her surroundings. Polly walks continuously and lacks situational awareness of her physical environment. She tends to walk in circles or pants as she also has anxiety regarding her vision issues. Additionally, Polly is thin, some times she gets stuck in tight small spaces. For instance, she has gotten stuck behind the stove, under the bed, etc. She is very friendly and does not bite. She is scared of loud sounds. Please help bring Polly back home or share any details you may have at. Thank you.

🚨 LOST DOG – WHAT TO DO IMMEDIATELY TO HELP BRING YOUR DOG HOME 🚨 If your dog is missing, follow these critical steps right away: 🏠 Bring Them Home with Scent and Access • Hang dirty laundry (T-shirts, socks, shoes) high on a fence or branch to allow the wind to carry the scent - use items worn by the person your dog is most bonded with. • Dogs can smell home from miles away - your scent can guide them back. • Leave an access point open such as a cracked garage or front door in case they return. • Sleep near the front door if possible - your presence may help them feel safe enough to come back. • If you have other pets, keep them secured in a separate room. 📣 Post Signs & Notify Everyone • Make signs with a clear photo and your contact info. • Put signs everywhere - on poles, street corners, and especially on doorsteps in the neighborhood. • Ask neighbors to check security cameras (e.g., Ring) for sightings. 🌐 Spread the Word Online • Post on local: • Lost & Found Facebook groups • Nextdoor • PawBoost • Ring Neighbors app • Include your contact info, dog’s name, and location last seen. 🐶 Microchip & Shelter Alerts • If your dog is microchipped, notify the chip company immediately and mark your pet as lost. • Call ALL nearby animal shelters and rescues, and leave a detailed voicemail if no one answers. Follow up daily. ⚠️ Beware of Scams • Do NOT send money or provide any verification codes. • Scammers often pretend to have your pet and demand payment. • A real finder will be happy to help and won’t ask for money.
