# Two Sweet Strays Looking for Their Forever Home 🐾❤️ **To the woman at Tutwiler & Stonewall alleway who witnessed this entire reunion…** I am SO sorry. 😂😭 These are not my dogs, I swear. They just…apparently decided I was their person for the week. A little backstory: These two sweet girls have been living at my hse for about a week. They showed up as strays, after the storm on Monday (not even the bad storm from this weekend) and somehow I have gone from *“I’ll make sure they’re safe”* to **separating my hse from my cat and two boys while sharing my bed with two stray dogs.** 🫠😂 This morning, **Momma (the bigger brown girl) disappeared.** I completely lost my mind looking for her. Eventually she showed back up in the backyard, and I thought, *“Okay, maybe she was hiding somewhere because she wouldnt have left her baby behind.”* NOPE. 🚫😂 Apparently, she was just trying to find an escape route. We have a broken section of fence that we’ve been hiding with a concrete slab… and these girls discovered that the slab makes a **perfect little ramp to freedom.** 🐕💨 So when I realized they had gotten out again, I threw on my tennis shoes, while in my brand new dress and went **running down the alley like a lunatic** trying to find them. And I DID. ❤️ There they were. I proceeded to crawl/roll through thorns in my brand-new dress while trying to convince Momma that the backyard was, in fact, a much better place to be. 😂🌿 And honestly? Covered in scratches, thorns, dog hair and kisses, I couldn't have cared less. Because these girls are **SO incredibly sweet.** They are affectionate, attached to each other, and clearly just want someone to love them and make them feel safe. 🥺❤️ I could have sighed, walked away, and told myself *“not my problem.”* But I couldn't. I went looking for them because I couldn't stand the thought of them being alone, scared, or wandering around Memphis. **Now I’m hoping this post reaches the person who is supposed to find them.** 🙏🐾 ✨ **Both are FEMALE** ✨ **Very sweet & affectionate** ✨ **Extremely bonded** ✨ **No microchips found** ✨ **I do not believe they are spayed** ✨ They have been fed, watered, loved on and spoiled while they're with me ✨ **I have contacted several rescues but haven't heard back** I desperately want to keep them safe, but we just spent $1,000 on our senior dog, and I simply cannot afford the vet care these girls need right now. **I also cannot bring myself to take them to MAS.** I know shelters are overwhelmed, and these two deserve the chance to find a family—not to become another statistic. So I'm asking for help. ❤️ **SHARE THIS. TAG A RESCUE. TAG SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR A DOG. TAG THE FRIEND WHO ALWAYS SAYS “I WISH I COULD SAVE THEM ALL.”** Maybe their person is one share away. And to the woman in the alley who had to watch me **literally roll around in the thorns in a dress just to get these dogs to cooperate…** 😂🙏 I'm sorry you had to witness that. And to everyone who saw a woman **running down Faxon in a dress chasing a dog with no collar or leash:** I promise there was a reason. 😂 I may have lost a brand-new dress today… …but these girls didn't have to be alone. ❤️🐾 **PLEASE HELP ME FIND THESE TWO GIRLS A REAL HOME.** They deserve a family, a couch, a yard, a warm bed—and someone who will love them for the rest of their lives. 🏡❤️🐕🐕
