Message from Finder

This looks like this dog reported missing. He was found as a stray and adopted by west valley animal shelter. The old lady that adopted him has gone to a care home. I have him, can you contact the owner who reported him missing?

Please give the owner a chance to claim their pet. Ask for proof of ownership- photos, vet records, how does this animal react to them, etc. And do trust your gut when talking with people. Also, any vet or shelter will scan for a microchip. Many fire departments and pet stores also have microchip readers. The number can be plugged into http://petmicrochiplookup.org which will tell you what company it is registered with. That company will reach out to the owner for you.

Post this on the KSL Lost pets, Ring camera App, Pet FBI, Petco Love Lost - has a free site to list to (both lost and found pets) (by State) - it uses AI to identify pets by facial recognition software- I understand it’s been very helpful for identifying lost pets (one of the best), Pawboost, PawGuide App and Nextdoor and Neighbors App, google to know how 🙏🏻🤗🌹

I wish his family would respond. The date is an estimate, I'm not sure of the date he was adopted out. The lady has now been sent to a care home and can't keep him, so I decided I'd try to find his previous owner. If you know how to get ahold of the owner through pawboost, please let me know. He is due to be taken back to West Valley Animal shelter Monday.
