Message from Owner

Our baby Bear got up at 4:15 Thursday morning asking to go outside! I let him out and he hasn’t been seen since. It is not like him to leave the yard especially given the weather and high winds lately. He has always had the freedom to come and go through his dog door. Michele and I are worried sick! If anyone knows of his whereabouts, please let us know. He has a collar with ID and a rabies tag. We are praying for his safe return!

Went on a long walk in our open space today and yelled out for him. My heart breaks for you, and I’m still on the look out! 🙏🏻❤️

I was just going to tell you about the scent trick as Mice did. Also along with his dog smells like his toys, the blankets he laid on and his food bowl don't put food in it though, as dogs have 300 million sensors in their nose and you want to connect their smells with your smells out in front of your home. Ask your neighbors to check inside their garages and sheds just in case he went in there to get warm! I hope your baby makes it home soon 😥🙏

Set out familiar smells like your worn clothing, bedding, blankets, etc. Check the shelters, both the city and the Dumb Friend’s League, often. Several vet clinics are frequently visited when pets are found. Recently, I sent emails to clinics with the picture of a lost dog I was looking for, especially if your pet is not chipped. Please post on Nextdoor if you have not already. Such a great resource! Also, consider putting up signs. That’s how I found my sweet baby years ago. Sharing and sending prayers!
