.. People .. this CAN still be done! .. We had a little stray cat at our door .. we opened it, she came in, and would NOT go back out! We had her for about a year. During her last vet visit, one of the assistants checked her for a chip!! Yep .. she had one! (why not before???) .. They called the number, got an instant answer .. the owners did want her back. The vet asked if we would give her up --- morally, what could I say? This is still hard, but, I did 'feel' like she never was really-really happy. And, now I'm not sorry. Her owners were so very grateful .. and the teenager was tall, beautiful, and full of love for 'her' cat! So --- do not --- give up!
