message for owner: please check with the animal shelter and leave a picture there, better to check in person and do it often, sometimes they don't give right information over the phone. You can check the web page 24petconnect which is linked to some shelters, you just need to enter your zip code and you can also submit a Lost Pet report there. Please make flyers preferably with a picture to post them in the area where the dog was last seen, check often with your local vets in case someone took your dog either injured or sick, check with groomers, talk with your neighbors. Show a picture to your mail person who is all over your area and maybe sees your dog, post a flyer in the windows of your car specially the rear window, post one in your closest Petco or Petsmart, post in Craigslist and also check in Craigslist for those that are for sale as well as Facebook pages that sell pets, you never know if someone found your dog, some people find pets and try to sell them or try to find a new home without trying to find the owners first. Please also post in Craigslist Lost and Found, in Pawboost, nextdoor, in MyLostPetAlert and in findingrover, in the Facebook page RGV Pet Alert Lost and Found, RGV Reunite Lost Pets, and in It´s All About the Animals RGV. Put also a t-shirt or something you just wore outside by your front door, your baby may smell its way back. if you find your dog and if not fixed, please spay or neuter to help control the pet population, there are way too many homeless dogs or killed at shelters because sadly there are not enough homes. Be careful with scammers who ask you to give them your cell phone number so they can send you a code OR if they ask you to reach out to a number or to reach out to some rescue site (often on a popular social media site like Instagram or Facebook) saying that helped them in the past to find their pet, be very cautious of those, so many are scammers, or if they ask you to message them for tips don´t trust that, they could easily post them here like the rest of us do. If you have your phone number listed and have offered a reward anywhere, be very careful of people saying they found your pet, if that is true, they should give a proof and send you a picture of your baby, if they don´t, they just want your money, or if they ask you for your cell phone, DO NOT GIVE ANYONE A CODE that they ask for (sent to your phone) when they say they want to verify it’s you. This is how they reset your information, these are scammers Prayers so you find your baby soon

Please check on Petfinder. com, petharbor. com, Petco. com, Craigslist. Please post on Nextdoor. com Please make a Pawboost. com post. Notify shelter. Please make sure your microchip contact information is up to date with the company. Ask neighbors to check security cameras and all places a dog may hide or become trapped…garages, sheds, outdoor pipes, crawlspaces, etc. Go out in quiet night. Call softly and maybe shake treat bag. Leave unlaundered family scented clothing near your home. Notify mail carriers. Place posters out. Prayers for safe return. You may want to consider contacting a recommended pet tracker in your area who has tracking dogs, drones and thermal drones, and traps. Please contact your local Rescues and veterinarians for pet tracker recommendations. If not available, google for your area and require references. Please leave adequate shelter near home due to temps
