Message from Owner

Our sweet cat broke through a screen window and has yet to return home. Rocky means the world to us. We are new to the area so he may be unfamiliar with his surroundings and having a hard time finding his way home. He is very friendly but may be skittish and afraid at this time. Any help is appreciated!

So sorry that your kitty has gone missing. Please file a lost Cat report with Animal Services and Post on Nextdoor if you're able. Let your neighbors know that your kitty has gone missing so they can be on the lookout, checking their garages and sheds. Put posters out in the area where your kitty was last seen. Cats don't normally venture far from home and can be hiding silently in the shrubs around your home. Go out on the evening with a Flashlight, calling their name and shining the flashlight into the shrubs, looking for the reflection in your kitty's eyes. You can also go out in the evening, shaking your kitty's favorite treat bag or tapping on a cat food can while calling their name. This often times brings good results. Sharing your post.

Go to the shelters to see if your missing pet. is there, if not Get your flyers up! Do not rely on social media alone, most of my missing animals come home, because of physical flyers! I do 8X11 in the immediate area 4 per block, the bigger the area 3 per block and so on. I've had the most success with the 4 per page mini handouts of the same flyer. I will give these to the Mailman, UPS, Fedex, Garbage man, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Also fluorescent backgrounds at major intersections 8X11 or bigger. Also law enforcement and animal control. More than likely, it's not going to be your eyeballs. That bring your pet home. Also not everybody has social media. So we need as much help as we can get from the community. So make it easy for them to get a hold of you. and remember the harder you work, the luckier you get! I hope these suggestions help you get your animal home soon and safe. 🙏
