Message from Finder

I came home to find this dog leaning against my front porch door. I think it may have been hit by a car as it has difficulty getting up and there is a little blood on my front door. I put one of my pup's leashes on it to secure him/her. It's now lying on its side and don't think it would attempt to leave due to suspected injuries. I've contacted TPD and they are having animal personnel contact me.

Lost and Found Pets of Hillsborough County , this is Kim DeFalco and I am following up on this gentle creature that remarkably picked my porch with three steps. Several other neighbors are ground level where he could have sought refuge from the rain. I feel honored. Because of his difficulty getting up and the blood on my front door, I suspect he was hit by a car. Is there any way that I can found out his health status? 🙏

Thank you to the amazing folks that are helping this elder pup! 🙏 He was so sweet and gentle, and most likely in a lot of pain. But I just kept gently petting him and talking softly. 💜🙏💜
