Message from Owner

Marigold is a sweet, gently indoor cat who lives with us on base. We have young children and I think someone must have left the screen door open. She is small and very fast. It was odd she didn't cuddle with us last night, so I think she must have gotten out yesterday. If you see her please help our dear, sweet snuggler get home. Thank you!

So sorry that your kitty has gone missing. File a lost cat report with Animal Services and Post on Nextdoor if you're able. Most kitties don't venture far from home, often times hiding in shrubs near your home or a neighbors. Let your neighbors know that your kitty has gone missing so they can be on the lookout, checking their garages and sheds. Put posters out in the area where your kitty went missing. Go out in the evening with a flashlight, calling your kitty's name while shining the flashlight into the shrubs, looking for the reflection in your kitty's eyes. You can also go in the evening while shaking your kitty's favorite treat bag or tapping on a cat food can while calling their name. This often times gets good results. Sharing your post.

Go to the shelters to see if your missing pet. is there, if not Get your flyers up! Do not rely on social media alone, most of my missing animals come home, because of physical flyers! I do 8X11 in the immediate area 4 per block, the bigger the area 3 per block and so on. I've had the most success with the 4 per page mini handouts of the same flyer. I will give these to the Mailman, UPS, Fedex, Garbage man, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Also fluorescent backgrounds at major intersections 8X11 or bigger. Also law enforcement and animal control. More than likely, it's not going to be your eyeballs. That bring your pet home. Also not everybody has social media. So we need as much help as we can get from the community. So make it easy for them to get a hold of you. and remember the harder you work, the luckier you get! I hope these suggestions help you get your animal home soon and safe. 🙏
