Gray / brown male domestic shorthair tabby, stripes & spots, approx. 4-5 years old & 9-10lbs. Microchipped & neutered. Green eyes & is extremely timid. On the back of his neck, he has a rather unique marking that looks like a heart. He is smaller than most cats I've seen in the area. Cash reward for his safe return .

Message from Owner

I’m including a cash reward if anyone finds Phoenix and is able to safely return him to me. Please help me find my boy 😭 west Knoxville piney grove area. Please contact me via phone call at - I can only receive phone calls to this number so please do not text this number. - neutered male - approx 4-5 yo - he is extremely skiddish and will try hiding from humans if it’s not me (so if you find him and can stay with him until I arrive to see if it’s him, I will still reward you after confirming it’s him) - went missing 2/9/24 around 8:25pm - security footage has not given any clues to where he ran off to after he got scared - neighbors have been alerted to keep an eye out

I have put this on here so many times it's unreal if you have an animal that stays in the house all the time when you let the animal outside you need to stay with it so you will know where it is where it goes go with it and bring it back in the house I feel so sorry for the animals they just do what they feel like doing they're supposed to have you to watch after them but I guess people think oh they'll be back well sometimes they don't come back it's on here everyday don't have time you don't need to have one

Create a scent station outside your home to help him find his way back. This area can include your dirty laundry, especially socks and your kitty’s fave blanket or anything with you and your kitty’s scent on it. Also, open a window so your kitty can hear you and also *smell home. In the evening, after the sun has set and things quiet down in your neighborhood go outside with a flashlight and your kitty’s canned food or bag of food or bag of treats. Walk several blocks in each direction while gently calling for your kitty. Don’t yell cause that can scare kitty. Use a soft and welcoming voice to call your kitty’s name and tap the can or shake the bag of food as you call. Also, use the flashlight to look under cars and in bushes. Think like a scared kitty. Your kitty is probably still close. During your walk, don’t be discouraged if you can’t find your kitty because your kitty may still see you but is scared to come out. So walk home slowly and when you get home make sure the window is open and if possible, leave a door cracked cause your kitty could follow you home and may not show itself immediately. 🙏

If they’re skittish around people, maybe you can try looking in the woods around the area. Prayers that you find him safe.🙏🏻
