Message from Owner
My cat, "Number Four", was unlawfully abducted from his home on the morning of Thursday September 17, 2026. He was stolen with his brother (see other PAW BOOST post) his name is "Fury". They were illegally "trapped", by Taylor Thorpe of the locally owned and operated by himself, and a handful of employees said, "Wildlife Pros". There was nothing "professional" about was a HIT! My landlord, Celeste Wilson, hired said "Wildlife Pros", and on the morning of 09.17.2026 him and his cronies came to my residence and "snatched up" several said "feral cats" as well as my two, mostly hse cats, and very much domesticated, so it was an easy job. According to Thorpe, they illegally "dumped them" in the nearby mountains of Merlin, Oregon stating directly to myself, and two witnesses that they "re-located" them to Quartz Creek Road in Merlin, 97526. In Oregon, a landlord has no legal authority to personally round up, trap, seize, or dispose of a tenant's pet. Doing so violates both Oregon residential landlord-tenant laws (ORS Chapter 90) and general state animal property laws. No Self-Help Seizure or Removal: Under ORS 90.405, if a landlord believes a tenant is keeping an unauthorized pet or violating pet rules, their only legal remedy is to issue a written 10-day notice requiring the tenant to remove the pet or resolve the violation. If the issue isn't resolved, the landlord must follow standard judicial eviction processes. A landlord cannot take matters into their own hands by rounding up animals, trapping them, or removing them from the property. Pets Are Recognized as Personal Property: Under Oregon law, pets are legally considered the personal property of their owner. Seizing or "getting rid of" someone else's pet can constitute conversion (civil theft/property interference), illegal self-help eviction, or potential animal cruelty/abandonment under state criminal statutes depending on where the cats were taken. Animal Control and Shelter Notice Requirements: If a landlord calls municipal or county Animal Control to address free-roaming or feral cats on the property, Animal Control must abide by strict impoundment procedures. Under ORS 433.385, impounded animals must be held at an authorized county or local shelter. Please call me at: at any time day, or night @. This is wrong, and we need to stop this from continuing to happen to other animals. Humans shouldn't prey on cats like this! I need community outreach help! Please! Please pray to whomever you respect as animals need your prayers. Thank you for your time! ~Monika
