Message from Owner

Mossy is my mother’s emotional support bird, and Mossy is very attached to her. She flew away scared yesterday, from the thunderstorm. Please contact me, or my mother - Beatriz. We’re very concerned with the storms and heat wave, in addition to predators in the area.

Update!! Mossy was seen behind Edison Diner today. She’s still not home yet. If she’s ever caught- pls contact Edison Animal Shelter AND message me via FB. Edison Animal Shelter has my personal contact info. Unfortunately, I’ve had some scammers reaching out to me. The Edison Animal Shelter will have Animal Control pick her up from your location OR u can drop her off as well. I appreciate everyone’s kind words and helpful advice! ❤️

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US https://m.facebook.com/groups/637611853061306/permalink/3663036367185491/?mibextid=Nif5oz To the owner: We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
