Message from Finder

Around 10pm I was driving down gulf to bay heading towards Clearwater beach and drove past a chihuahua running on the road right before Lake Ave. by the time I was able to get to and locate it, he or she unfortunately was already hit and past. I couldn’t move her/him due to traffic. Located in a left hand turn lane near gulf to bay and yelvington.

I have tried to help animals abandoned on the road before and then as soon as I went to get the pup I saw a grown man come out of the trees / woodwork out of no where! I felt so bad to leave the pup but felt like it was a set up! This was ab 4-5 years ago. But I still will stop to help an animal if they need. Just everyone please be aware of your surroundings esp if you’re alone !

If only one of these people saying they had seen this dog running down this street or that one would have stopped and rescued it a life would have been saved 😭😭😭😭😭 Heart breaking
