Misty Rae I'll see if I can find the post. The found bird was wet and not a great picture.

Is this a lovebird? I swear I saw a post for a found bird that looks similar but they were calling it a green cheek parrot.

Im so sorry! He is likely nearby and scared/hiding. Go out now (dusk) and call him. Go out in the early morning and do the same. Stand on your roof if you can.

Put an abundance of bird food on your porch with shelter and water. Go on YouTube and play his bird sounds to lure him near. Keep a sheet or net handy. Praying for a swift return 🙏

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BqaX9hBjb/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
