Message from Finder

FOUND BY SOMEONE ELSE WHO IS KEEPING IT WITHOUT APPROPRIATELY ATTEMPTING TO FIND OWNER. Finder posted on Nextdoor app under name Chanel Jackson from Elizabethport in Elizabeth (union county) NJ. Insisted the dog was abandoned. She did say she would have it checked for microchip, but does not seem to be taking any other steps to find owner. Post was about how it was meant to be for her to find and adopt this dog. Finder would not accept someone may be looking for the dog. Even if it is chipped, I am concerned she will not return the dog. Info on the post has been sent to PD/town. Not sure on the date found, i believe it was in the last couple days.

Port Elizabeth Ghost Town and Millville’s Fries Mill Location Port Elizabeth, NJ is a small unincorporated community in Cumberland County, about 5 miles from Millville, and serves as a base for exploring Pine Barrens ghost towns — including the ruins of Fries Mill in Millville’s Manumuskin River Preserve

This small unincorporated community, laid out in 1785, sits at the intersection of Routes 47 and 55, giving you direct road access to forgotten mill sites and crumbling company towns nearby.

Susan B McDonald You’ll find Port Elizabeth tucked away in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens, where this once-thriving port and industrial town now stands as a ghost of its former glory. Founded in 1785 by Elizabeth Clark Bodly, it flourished with glass works and iron furnaces along the Manumuskin River before declining in the mid-20th century. Today, you can explore its historic landmarks, including the Eagle Glass Works Hotel and colonial churches, while discovering the mysteries behind its dramatic transformation.

Susan B McDonald The FINDER is in elizabeth port NJ (Union County), the dog was FOUND in the port elizabeth ghost town. there is no ghost town in in Elizabethport Union County. it has to be Port elizabeth in southern jersey, if you search her name on nextdoor, someone with the same name is also registered in the area of port elizabeth south jersey. if you can find a ghost town in Union County, post it. she specifically said it was in the GHOST TOWN that is over a bridge. with no other access or communities in that area the dog could have wandered from.
