My wife and I are trying to get this one to trust us so we can try to find him/her a home. It showed up around 5 or 6 weeks ago and we think it either got lost or was abandoned. We live in a rural area east of Newark. It is very skittish and won’t let is near. But day by day it gets closer. We have been feeding it almost every day as it comes around and it seems to stay in the woods behind our place and sometimes under the shed next to our garage. It hasn’t been ‘accepted’ by the group of feral kitties and appears to be a pet.

I hope he is found and returned safely. I would be heartbroken if one of my kitties disappeared.

Put out a personal piece of clothing or blanket with your scent on it so he can smell it or even a can of tuna to entice him back bring in at night put out his used litter box outside they can smell it for a long distance bring in at night go searching once it starts getting dark use a flashlight cats eyes glare check with neighbors yards and garages 💙💙💙
