French bulldog (brindle)

We found this brindle French bulldog this morning around 10:00 a.m. August 26th in the Kensington Meadows neighborhood in Southwest Raleigh off of banks road. He has a collar on with no tags or chip. The collar leash hook appears to have a clip on it with no string end indicating that he may have gotten off of an outdoor leash.

UPDATE: Pup has been fed, watered, and bathed. We decided to bring him to WCAS, where he will be on hold for a few days. Hopefully his family can come claim him.

He looks a lot like my frenchie who went missing several years ago. He was chipped. You have to request them to be scanned at a vets office. PLEASE do that! I see it says he’s not chipped but please double check!

Microchipped?? It’s free at any vet’s office or a Petsmart to be scanned for a microchip

Here are some tips to help see if anyone is missing this dog: Find any local town and surrounding town's Facebook community groups and join them and post the dog there. If you use Nextdoor, you can also post the dog there. These are the people who will be missing this dog. Call police and/or animal control to see if anyone called about a missing dog fitting that description. They can also scan the dog for a chip. Also call local shelters to see if anyone filed a missing dog report for the dog. You can also list the dog as a found dog with Pawboost, lostmydoggie and petfbi. And please, do not just hand the dog over to anyone that says the dog is theirs. Many scammers and other bad people seek animals and they are used in horrible ways like as bait for fighting animals. They will even pose as families or animal lovers. So please make sure proof is shown. Thanks you for helping the beautiful dog 💚
