Last I heard Cumberland country animal services. They said he is at a rescue but won't let me know which one. I just want to make sure he is ok if I can't get him back. I need peace

Christine Davan that’s the part I feel like I failed him. I didn’t know what to do, where to start, or if I even had a good chance of getting him back. I tried googling for rescues but it wasn’t as easy as I thought, being that I’m a pretty good googler lol It’s been some months now (I hope that I’m not too late) I am prepare for that possible outcome. My broken heart isn’t getting better so I decided to try harder and reach out to every rescue/shelter. After receiving “No we don’t have your dog” without any further help, I started getting “Nos” with some suggestions other places I could reach out to, and for those I am forever grateful. Either way; I just need to know he’s ok and happy.

Leme Peope I think they give owners 3 days to claim their animals and if the owners doesn’t, the animal then becomes Cumberland County animal services’ property. They said they were doing me a favor by giving me an extra day because I found him on the 3rd day. I couldn’t come up with the money to get him out so the next day they told me a rescue came and got him. 🥺 He didn’t look neglected, or abused. Someone that was mad at me called the pound to get Teddy. The crazy part is they saw that Teddy was on the same street I lived on when they came and got him. No investigation was done for them to realize someone did this maliciously so they know where my bleeding heart is but won’t help me get in back. WRONG IS WRONG AND RIGHT IS RIGHT. All of this is WRONG and torture.

Go down to that animal shelter that had him and ask which rescue he went to. If they still don't tell you, go above their head until you get a solid answer. How long did they hold him before giving him to a rescue?
