This little cutie has been "visiting" our yard for a little while, but always left so we were sure she was someone in the neighborhood's cat. She seems well-cared for. The other day, however, shre stopped leaving and we realized then that she was probably abandoned or lost. We tried to take her to the Humane Society shelter, but were told they didnt have a spot for her at this time. But we've filled out an intake form for her and in the meantime, we will feed and watch over her. We cannot keep her, unfortunately. But we will do whatever we can to find her original people or get her to a shelter that will find her a new .

The good news is: the vet is going to give this cat all her shots and also spay her. We will pay all the fees for those services. She is also litter trained (I'm pretty sure someone owned her before and left her behind when they moved away or something). And she is a sweet cat. I'm throwing this out there in case you are interested in taking her on? Just a thought. We're still trying to find her her "forever" home...

Hi Kathleen. Finally, I have an update for you about the cat! We managed to trap her today and get her to the vet. The bad news is that she is NOT microchipped, so the cat we have is not Godiva. I'm so sorry.

Update about the cat... We tried for several hours to get her into a carrier so we could take her to a vet. We were not successful, but we'll keep trying.

Hi there. I am the person who posted the notification about the lost cat. I also got a private message from your friend, who I have just responded to. I do think the cat in our yard looks much like Godiva, though this cat might be younger? We don't know anything about any vet work she might have had done; however, I am going to make an appointment with our vet and see if we can get the cat in a carrier (which might be difficult) and get her checked for a microchip. As I told your friend, I am hoping to get into the vet tomorrow. I will keep you both posted (and hopefully have good news!).
