VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE FLYERS AND LOTS OF THEM! I put in there how to make the ones that you hang outside and where to put them! I also talked about the flyers that you want to not hang outside you’re going to hand them out. I also noted where to take some of those signs to hand out. Again, please do these things you will find your pet. God bless you.

Owners never learned a hard lesson. Sorry I don’t me to condemn. I’m just feeling frustrated that this has become so rampant. Missing dogs, we all know they can be hit by a car anytime or eaten by a coyote. I have 4 dogs in a single household that’s why I don’t understand.

Day-One Response The first 48 (Upstream Assistance) From the moment a pet goes missing up to 48 hours. This phase focuses on fast action on the right methods: It's very important to give the owner immediate, correct suggestions for their pet and for their area. The goal: Heavy coverage of the 1-mile search radius immediately! Consider the breed The neighborhood and which tactics work best based on that. Also ask yourself what are the biggest risk factors for this pet right now and in the next 2 hours? Coyotes, cars, heat, being stolen etc? Give owners the fastest most successful methods to reach that one mile search radius immediately. It's usually next door and neighbors by ring apps and flyers because they: 1. Reach the people most likely to actually see the pet in real life 2. in the 1-mile search radius 3. Can reach 50 people within a few minutes with one post.💪 The purpose of upstream assistance is to recover the pet BEFORE it gets worse! Once the dog gets out of a 1 to 3 Mi radius it becomes much much harder to find the pet. When this phase is done effectively, many cases are resolved before they ever become long-term missing pets. If the pet is not found- the owners move into phase 2 tactics which are much more time consuming... This stage is so much more work for the owners. And when pets move into this phase they are often never found. Long-Term Recovery (Downstream Assistance) This is the extended search phase—when a pet has been missing 3 to 4 days or more and has likely : 📍moved out of the 1-3 mi search radius 📍Been picked up by someone - then it depends if they look for you or they keep your pet. 😥 (Phoenix and Glendale typically have around a 70 to 80% rate of people that find and keep pets and never give them back. If you live in a lower income neighborhood in the cities and your dog is a pure breed, small, cute, or fluffy you have a very high chance of this happening. It's awful.) 📍If they have been taken to an emergency vet you have to figure out which one. 📍Been taken to a rescue again most owners never find their pets once this happens 📍Or been taken to a shelter which is time consuming to drive to and you have to figure out which one. If you don't get on it and use the neighborhood apps and flyers on day one or two then you have a lot more work at this phase. This phase focuses on investigation which means hours and hours of searching. Daily shelter searches in person. Most of the time you should not be doing this on day one. It takes too much time to drive to the shelter and look and by then your dog is moving out of the one to three mile radius. 👉In this phase owners spend hours and hours looking through potentially five Lost Pet websites with hundreds of pets listed to see if their pet has been posted. 👉 In this phase owners spend hours posting their pet on tons of Lost Pet groups. There are over 30.👎 It's very tedious. They also get tons of notifications that they have to weed through for information that matters. It's extremely time-consuming. 👉 At this stage there's a possibility the pet was taken to a foster or a rescue. Some of them post your pet and some do not. This is a stage that many owners lose their pet forever. This stage requires piecing together information. This stage is what happens when the early response window was missed or the pet was not recovered quickly. THIS IS WHY IT'S SUPER IMPORTANT THAT YOU GO HARD ON DAY ONE! Using the best methods To reach her immediate neighborhood The people that will actually see your dog or cat And get your pet home quickly within hours Again next door and neighbors by ring have around a 75% success rate. Flyers are said to have a 7 to 21% success rate All three of these reach the immediate neighborhood. Unfortunately most people that copy and paste suggestions to owners have NEVER done any research on the things they suggest that owners do to look for their Lost Pet They send owners in the wrong direction and cost them time they do not have. They typically give phase 2 suggestions instead of phase one suggestions to owners. It's a lot of work for 24 hours to bust a mission and find your pet but it's much better than having to do all of these things for weeks or months. 😭 Get on it Go hard Focus on the neighborhood apps and flyers. Put a reward if you want more people to pay attention and put the amount because people don't pay attention to the word reward only. Ask yourself: Do you want 30% of the population to say they'll keep an eye out? But they're not even in the neighborhood where your dog is missing. Do you want nice people that have time on their hands to say sorry you lost your pet? Or do you want 50% of your neighborhood looking for your dog with you? That's the difference with a reward.

Please use keywords in your post. That way if rescue volunteers are looking for an owner your post will come up. Found color of dog Size of dog Breed of dog Male or female Unique spots on the dog City and state Major intersection. Your location should be first in your post!! The goal isn't to reach everyone in Arizona it's to reach the people in your immediate vicinity. Then bullet point format with details on the pet so people can quickly scan. Use lots of keywords at the bottom of your post. Put your phone number so people can quickly contact you if they see your pet Crop your photos: you want your dog as big as possible. Nice clear picture of the pet from the front And a second one from the side to show identifying markings. You have two seconds to grab people's attention you want to make it count. 0Cut the Walls furniture other dogs people the yard etc out of the photo. Just the pet.

Still can't find your pet? 1. Have you posted 👉👉three times a day on next door AND Neighbors by ring? (NOT THE RING APP) 👉👉 Have you commented on your post two or three times to get it going? 👉👉 Have you continued to comment for a few days so everyone in your neighborhood to see it? Or did you just post and move on to post somewhere else? 2. Did you put a reward in the first sentence? 👉👉👉With the amount? 3. Did you put a reward AND your phone number plus ONE BIG CLEAR picture of your pet on all the garages on your street? And the one behind your house? If that didn't work... 4. Did you call all the veterinarians within 10 miles of you to see if A PET MATCHING YOUR PETS DESCRIPTION was brought in injured or deceased hit by a car? 5. Did you call the local police department and ask for dispatch and see if anyone reported a deceased pet matching yours description for dead animal pickup? 6. Did you crop everything out of the picture but your pet and put it on Petco love lost?
