Message from Owner

Please let us know if you have any information on Santi’s whereabouts. We looked for him around the neighborhood countless times throughout the day and have not been able to locate him. The only thing we found were paw prints walking along the side of the side of road. If anyone has him, please return him!! We’ve been devastated about not being able to find him last night. Thank you to everyone keeping a look out!

Please put some of your dirty clothes outside, as well his favorite blanket. Smaller dogs often do not travel far. Hopefully, you have posted these posters throughout your neighborhood. Good luck

Create a scent station (items with your/your dog’s smell - unwashed bedding, clothing, etc toys, etc.). Check it often, especially during quiet times (late evening/early morning). This step especially important if in an unfamiliar area! If you have another dog, walk the area with it on a leash. Check nearby Ring/security cameras in the area. Post simple signs (large neon poster, large photo, word “lost,” your phone number) in your yard and neighborhood. (Put in plastic sleeve/page protector first.). Contact the microchip company (be sure your contact info is up-to-date). Check the Shelter(s) at least every other day - in person! You know your pet best. Post on NextDoor app as covers your surrounding neighborhoods. If your dog is not spayed/neutered, may be why it is “lost” and traveling. When your pet is spotted, do not call or chase him/her! Just sit down on the ground and be very quiet. He/she is scared and any voices can push it away (even familiar voices). https://www.pawboost.com/blog/8-helpful-tips-for-finding-your-lost-dog/. Also, pet stealing is on the rise sadly. Check https://petfbi.org/how-to-protect-your-pet/stolen-pets/ for tips. Includes filing a police report, contacting your local media, checking Craig’s List where your pet may be posted for sale. Hope your pet is home safe and soon. (Note: if anyone asks for money or a code as “they have your pet,” this is a scam).
