Help for Lost Pets Post to your neighborhood Nextdoor.com website. Notify animal control and police. Check neighborhood surveillance cameras Put a surveillance or trail camera of your own up in case cat comes near your house when you’re not home or asleep. For NY residents or those in CT close to NY border:Post on Lost Pets of the Hudson Valley Facebook If pet is stolen: Report to police. Ask neighbors to check their surveillance cameras. Give picture of dog with your contact info to postal, ups etc drivers and ask them to keep an eye out. Just scared. Call softly and listen carefully especially between 10 pm and dawn when things are quiet. Also use a flashlight as their eyes will reflect back to you from the dark. Others say this will attract other predators that will chase away your cat or worse.

They can get locked by mistake in sheds garages and bats, ask neighbors to check and if they can leave doors open for a while. A frightened cat is hiding probably won’t come out when people are around. Most lost cats come home/ are found between 2-5 am so that’s a good time to look. If you can, leave a door or window cracked open specially at night and the kitty might walk back in. Flyers in the area help too. Best of luck, I’m sure you’ll find him soon.

Indoor outdoor kitties, I would always recommend it first to walk about around a 2 block radius. Take somebody with you and ask your neighbors if they would please check whatever they come open up and shut like shed doors garages, barn doors bats. Et, cetera, your Kitty could be trapped. Accidentally. This happens all the time. Give it a try. I know it's been a couple of weeks, but give it a try. Bring a picture or bring a note if they're not home and put it on the door..... Do not give up❤️🙏
