Please file a missing cat report with Chesapeake animal control. If the cat is chipped, make sure the registry has your current contact information. Check the shelter several times a week. Tonight after 10 PM, go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight and walk around calling your cat’s name and shaking the kitty treats bag use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. Print flyers with your cats picture and your current contact information and ask them to call you if they see your cat. Also ask them if they’ve been in their shed outbuilding our garage since your cats been missing. Cats go in those places to hide and then the door goes closed and the cat cannot get out. You cannot hear cat crying to get out of a structure unless you’re standing right next to it. Look under porches, decks, and under any building with an open crawlspace.
