Message from Owner

This is my 6 year old friend, Morty. He escaped my vehicle during transport to his new home. I couldn't afford a carrier for him and the worst case scenario happened and now I'm heartbroken and so worried that he is scared and alone....or worse. Please, if you see him, let me know.

Don't only check your new neighborhood but go back and check your last neighborhood.Ask your neighbors, cats can travel quite far.And they know how to get back to their home. Put one up your blankets or a piece of clothing that has not been laundered , so it has your scent on it out on your porch

Since it’s evening, I would head outside now with a flashlight. Start right around your house and gradually work your way outward, looking carefully under shrubs, bushes, decks, porches, cars, and anywhere else your cat could be hiding. Take your time checking those little tucked-away spots—their hiding place may be very close to home. You’re probably getting a lot of advice, but I hope some or all of these tips help you bring your baby home quickly. Most importantly, don’t just wait for your cat to show up, even if they’ve escaped before and come home on their own. Be very active in your efforts: put up flyers, knock on neighbors’ doors, and keep searching. Leave food close to the entrance of your house or apartment to encourage your cat to stay nearby rather than wandering farther away looking for resources. If you’re unsure whether your cat is still close by, I highly recommend setting up an outdoor camera and pointing it toward the food. It’s a great way to find out if your cat is coming back when no one is around. It doesn’t have to be an expensive Ring camera or require a subscription. I have an indoor/outdoor Wyze camera that I bought on Amazon for less than $40. I did have to purchase an outdoor power cable separately, but it was inexpensive. I have the camera set to alert me whenever it detects movement, so a notification immediately pops up on my phone. If it’s safe and possible, leave a door or window to the house, apartment, or garage cracked open. Cats will sometimes quietly wander back up and simply walk inside, especially when things are calm and quiet. I really hope your baby is home safe very soon. ❤️
