Message from Owner

Peter is still missing! We thought we had a sighting on Saturday but nothing since. He’s our baby and we’re missing him so much. He’s super-friendly with us but he’s a former feral and probably won’t go to anyone else. He’s microchipped. Please contact with any sightings or possibilities.

Sharied your post on area groups. Meanwhile he is likely close by. Indoor cats hole up in the nearest place that feels safe, under or behind things, shrubs, decks, window wells. A humane trap with smelly food (and if possible a camera) could be a big help. Put your unwashed clothes out by your doors. (People will tell you to put out the litterbox - don’t do that, it can attract predators.) Put signs inside plastic sheet protectors on nearby poles. Tell your neighbors to check cameras and keep an eye out. Go out at night and call softly, shaking a recognizable treat bag or toy. Consider a laser toy light or flashlight to draw the cat’s attention. Best wishes.

Try lostmykitty.com they have a service that sends out a lost pet alert to the phones in your area with a description and your phone number asking people to check their basements, garages and sheds. There is a fee, but that’s how I found my cat. If you can print out flyers, give them to the mail carriers and your neighbors and put them on their porches as well as on telephone poles. Also give them to the animal shelters and the veterinarians offices. If there are businesses nearby, ask if you can put a flyer in their window. 🙏💔

Finding missing cats is about 2 things: food and cameras. If you have a camera on your house, put a dish of a fish flavor canned food out around 8pm and keep a bowl of dry cat food out there 24/7. Check your cameras every morning to see if he came to eat. Cats come out in the middle of the night when we are asleep. If your home doesn’t have a camera, get a cellular trail cam from Walmart. Point it at the dish of food. When the cam senses motion at the food dish, it’ll send a pic to your cell phone. I’m sure he hasn’t gone too far. If you see him on camera at night, watch for him around the same time the next night, & if you see him, quietly open the door and see if he’ll come in or if he’ll let you pick him up and bring him in. If not, put a humane trap there the next night same time. Make fliers and give to all nearest neighbors. Put 1 in the local grocery store. The more people you have watching out for him the better. Just keep putting food out at night and checking cameras. It shouldn’t take long for him to show up at the food dish. Praying you find him 🙏🙏
