Cowie's Owner Says

Thank you so much to everyone who cared and offered thoughtful & helpful advice. He returned home just now with a slight limp and some swelling! But he seems to be doing okay and eating just as heartedly as before (lol). I'll be taking him to the vets to be sure but again he is home and alive. Thank you thank you!!

Not sure if this will help, but you could try.. Please place its bedding 🛏 outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a contents of tuna can 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Also vaccumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors 🖼picture of the🐈 cat. 10 houses to the ⬅️ left 10 house🏡 to the right➡️ front ⬆️ and back⬇️ if they spot him to give you a call ☎️ immediately. Also, you can put up a Sign post 🪧with your 🐱📷 picture. In front of your 🏡lawn and to call you or contact you ASAP. Go early ⏰️ in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera / Baby monitor 📹 to monitor and see & hear if the cat is around your house 🏡. You can even ask your Local Pet 🐱 Animal Shelter to Rent out a Safe Trap and monitor it.. Post your ad on your phone app NEXTDOOR, & PAWBOOST too ! Praying for a soon safe return 🍀 of your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

So glad he is home. Please keep your kitties indoors for their safety. Between coyotes and terrible people, outdoors is not safe.

I don't know if the site updates through here as well but Cowie returned home 30 minutes ago and is okay (slight limp) but he will be going to the vet to be sure. Thank you to everyone who reached out & offered solid advice. Will try to get more info on the car to report it as well!

Shared. Report your information to the police - if they'll purposely hit a cat,. they'll hit a kid, an old person and just anyone. But If you have not yet done ALL these thing do them now. If you have, do them again and go further in your search. Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies in garages, sheds, basement etc. Because he was injured he may be hiding. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. In case he might still be around, leave his used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door he left NOW and check at dusk. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up. Contact Toronto animal services lost and found
