~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… Someone may have him thinking he was abandoned… Someone may have a camera that captured something… Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… If the dog is microchipped, call the company ASAP … Report you animal missing to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters. She looks like my Sun Conure. Hoping it's found and returned. Try putting out it's favorite food, calling is name. Use binoculars (maybe) when looking for it. It could be close but not close enough to see with a naked eye?

Be sure to go to your LOCAL SHELTERS with a photo and report your pet lost (your pet may have been taken to a shelter not closest to you). They have a board for both lost and found pets. Many finders take pets they find to them.Remember, NOT EVERYONE is on Social Media. There's some excellent advice on Missing Animal Response Network on Facebook as well as their website. Additional advice can be found on the website under the drop down menu labeled lost pet help.

Give flyer to the local shelter, vet offices, school bus drivers and to your mail carrier too!! Missing Animal Response Network has excellent advice on what to do when your pet goes missing. The section about NEON signs is a must but all of the tips will also help you in your efforts to find your pet. Don't forget to put a large NEON sign in your own yard for people to see. Also check on Craigslist under pets lost/found.
