Mostly dark orange tabby cat with light orange stripes, striped tail, and yellow/gold eyes. Brown freckles on his nose and a mix of white and black whiskers. Long and tall. 5 years old. VERY FEARFUL - PLEASE DON’T APPROACH

Message from Owner

Our 5 year old cat Leo got the screen door open around 10am 9/26, we believe he somehow unexpectedly opened it and fell out and just immediately freaked out. He has never, ever even attempted to get outside since we brought him in (caught in 2020 when he was a stray kitten after months of very slow progress) as he’s an anxious boy who’s petrified of everything beyond gentle affection from us. We tried to get him or at least keep eyes on him but he was so freaked out he wouldn’t stop running until he ran across the street and over a neighbors fence and once we lost sight of him for that moment we haven’t been able to find him again yet. We’ve brought blankets out from inside and just hoping he will somehow find his way back. He’s very scared of strangers. Not microchipped. Please contact immediately if spotted, do NOT approach, he will 100% run.

Do not sit his litter box outside that's just going to bring other animals to your home.

They are usually within a 500 foot vicinity. If he was pushed out further than that I would be surprised if he found his way home. Put signs out in the ground, especially in the area where you last seen him go. You can buy blank signs at Lowes or Home Depot and wrap them in clear packing tape to keep the rain out. These signs are excellent for sightings.

Always check with local Animal Controls. Most of them will scan upon intake but just in case, go look personally because only you know your cat.

Sezer Aguirre Thank you. We were out the door as soon as it happened and if it were any of our other pets we would have been able to get them back inside easily. He’s the sweetest boy but so timid and truly the *worst* one for this to have happened to due to how fearful he is 💔💔

Correction: due to the stress I completely forgot that we did get Leo microchipped when he was neutered through S.A.F.E in 2020 and his microchip ID is registered with AKC reunite. I have reported him lost there as well.
