What do I do now I know that that's got to be him they wouldn't let me see him whenever I called about it last week they told me that there was too many discrepancies and I was fighting them with it and I tried to go down there today and when I did they told me that he was gone even though last week they said he was on a hold and not even I could see him

Dani Jayde Yes they often click the wrong button. It's easy to understand how they can do it when they go through so many pets per day, but pets can be listed as male when they are really female. I saw and all white Great Dane listed as a white pitbull. So if a rescue volunteer is doing a Google search for found white Great Dane it would not come up. Meanwhile there are tons and tons and tons of pitbulls in the system and an owner looking for a Great Dane would not be looking through found pit bulls for their dog. 😭

Brooke Hoff the details are not correct and even after I called they told me he was only 7 months old and the details were just a little monkey but I'm going down there right now to see if this is him because I found out that when he got surrendered it was under the breed of Maltese! This gives me so much hope! I'm so scared that I'm so excited right now but I'm sure that this has got to be him now I'll keep you guys updated

Lex Harrison I'm heading into the papago location right now to go and see if that's him.. I'm scared to me this excited and hopeful but I really think it's him and that they totally input the details wrong.. will not totally because I found out that when he got turned into the shelter it was under the breed of a maltese!!

Dani Jayde Not silly at all. I'd be panicked if either of my two senior rescues got out and were lost!! I hope you find your baby very soon! I agree with the suggestions of all the other people. Some said it better than others, but they mean well. :)

Dani Jayde you're welcome the thing is you can't afford to lose time right now by having a confusing picture on there. You need people to be able to quickly identify your dog do you want to put a good strong clear photo. Any delays can make or break your case so you want to hit it correct from the beginning. Also just a reminder you cannot be focused on your feelings right now you have to be focused on facts and finding and using the strongest tactics. Owners that focus on their feelings don't get things done quickly and it costs a lot of them their pets. I don't want that for you. I like to explain it to owners like this, you have to take off your emotional hat and put on your detective hat and find your dog. 💪 You know they only hold them at the County shelter for 72 hours and then your dog can be euthanized or adopted and then it's lost for real. So you have to get your head in the game and getter done. 😉

Lorelei Hightower thanks so much. I'm going to get some better pictures on here to be honest it hurts so bad looking at pictures and videos that I just grabbed the first one I had because it was breaking my heart to look at the pictures as silly as that sounds but I need to get a good one on there in order to find him

Lex Harrison thank you for all the information.. like seriously thank you. This is such an overwhelming time and it's like there's so many things out there that have come up with nothing so far but I know I'm going to find him I'll never stop trying until I do so I am so grateful for everyone's help. I did find the picture on the humane society that you guys sent me as well and I thought it was him I got so excited but when I called the information just doesn't match up with my dog however I'm going to go in tomorrow to see for myself that it's not him. It's just such an awful picture to try and identify any pet with. It's almost like they didn't care whether the owner recognized them or not by that picture. Doesn't he look so sad though 😭. My dog is 2 years old and has been recently neutered and they say that this dog was only 7 months old and not neutered but I don't know if maybe there data entry asked for the descriptions of the dogs or at least this one maybe are a shoddy as the picture that got taken so maybe they just didn't take their time and check to see if the dog was neutered and they just threw a random age out there because the sure looks a lot like my baby. That distinctive human color nose and mouth are his key features as well as an underbite

Also pull up Arizona Humane Society found pets make sure it says found pets. They also post on Paw boost when you get on there put in the zip code for the Arizona Humane Society in Phoenix and that way it'll pull up the dogs that are there then you can click on their name and look at all the dogs that are being posted at AZ humane. If you go to the found pet group on Facebook though you can look through dogs that have been there you know in the past to see if your dog was there.
