Please help! We “adopted” him as a very very wounded stray. It took over a year for his left leg to heal. They were contemplating amputation when we took him in. He’s been with us for 3 years and genuinely does not leave my yard. He’s not strictly an indoor cat bc of his history and we have 3 Great Danes and a Dogo, so sometimes they are too much for him. This baby NEVER misses a meal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight snack…..he has not left us in 3 years 😞. Please, if you see him reach out

I’m sorry your adorable brown tabby and white Hemingway cat has failed to return home and is lost, but please try not to fear the worst — Big Man may simply need some extra help getting home. Thoroughly search using a flashlight during the day and especially at dusk (when it's dark and quiet) to determine whether he’s ill or injured and hiding nearby, or stuck somewhere. Check every crack and crevice, look in outbuildings, containers, vehicles, under foundations, sheds and porches, into trees, etc. — call and listen carefully for Big Man’s cries (he may alert you to his location). Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.
