🚨 MISSING CAT – BALACLAVA 🚨 Contact: (steph) (Cian) Our beautiful ginger cat Leo has gotten out and has been missing since around 9am today (Tuesday 7 October). 📍 Balaclava – between Inkerman St & Carlisle St, behind the Coles/Woolworths area. Leo is an indoor cat and isn’t used to being outside, so he may be scared and hiding somewhere nearby — under hses, in gardens, garages, sheds, bushes or anywhere small and sheltered. He is ginger, around 5 years old. If you live nearby, we would be incredibly grateful if you could check your garden, garage, shed, under decks/cars and any little hiding spots. ⚠️ Please don’t chase him if you see him — if he’s frightened he may run. Please take a photo if possible and message me immediately with the exact location/time you saw him. We’re extremely worried and just want to get him home safely. ❤️ Please share, especially if you’re around Balaclava / St Kilda East.

I’m sorry your cat is missing 💔 Go out tonight and start searching and calling for your cat when it’s very quiet and your kitty will hear you call their name. Your cat will be close by. Try anytime from 11 pm - 5 am. Take a powerful torch with you. If possible go out twice in the night at diff times. This has worked for me before and has been a very successful technique for others too. From tomorrow, try approaching your neighbors. Put up posters. Leaflet neighborhood if possible at least 1-2 streets on either-side of yours, that’s how my missing cat was identified on a neighbor’s property. Go door knocking, at least 3-4 houses on either side of yours and across the road and street behind. Speak to those neighbors and personally deliver a leaflet of your missing cat to them. Your neighbours may pay more attention if you speak with them. Ask your neighbours if any CCTV footage may have been captured of your cat, this can be really helpful in tracking your cat’s movements. Contact local council, vets, pounds and shelters. Post on other Facebook Lost pet/cat sites for more exposure. Your cat will be close by, from personal experience, one of my missing cat’s was located at my next door neighbor’s house and another time several years ago, my cat was just one street away. Make sure to report your cat missing at Central Animal Records, or which ever organisation your cat’s microchip is registered with (there are a few diff ones) that’s how my cat was found and prevented a stranger from changing ownership of her. I hope you find your beautiful kitty 🙏🏼❤️
