Message from Owner

Bootsie is a sweet and affectionate senior boy. He is shy around strangers and may be hiding somewhere. His previous owner had his front feet declawed and he is primarily an indoor cat. He understands human language very well and generally pays attention to suggestions. I adopted him five years ago at a Clear the Shelters event. When I was petting him in his cage, he would pat my arm to get me to continue if I paused while talking to the staff. When we got home, he saw my elderly mother sitting on the sofa and fell in love with her. His favorite hideout was her bedroom closet, After she past, he shared it with me a few times during tornado watches. Later, he made the space under her bed his favorite place to be and I would feed him there sometimes. Recently, he has been calling to me in the morning as he walks from the bedroom to the living room and I tell him where I am each time. Then I ask him if he wants some love and he comes up to get some.

Prayers for Bootsie's safe return! Ask all of your neighbors to check their buildings or garage doors that may have been open he might have slipped inside. We had a female calico with long hair (Molly) missing for like a month and the man behind us had a woodworking shop and Molly had gotten in there! We happened to put up a flyer right in front of his woodworking shop! We received a call to let us know she was in there! Praise God! So don't give up hope!!! 🙏♥️

Cat is Close by. Check at night under bushes and porches etc with flash light for glow of thr eyes. Leave (ideally in a trap) smelly fish (like mackerel) or hot foods (my cat came back after 16 days to my neighbors grilling burgers). Call at night. Post on pawboost and print physical posters. Put posters in page protectors with closed side up and bottom taped closed. Put them up in area and knock on neighbors doors to ask to look and keep an eye out and give them a flyer for if they see cat. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/intersection-alerts/ Also, I used https://www.professionalpettrackers.com/
