Thanks for tagging us, Layla. Rabbits found in Portland, or anywhere in Multnomah County, can be taken to the Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) shelter in Troutdale. MCAS holds rabbits and other small pets and gives their people a chance to claim them. If no one comes forward, MCAS spays/neuters and vaccinates rabbits and places them up for adoption. If MCAS encounters rabbits have medical issues beyond MCAS' capabilities, they work with other rescues (including ours) to transfer those rabbits. MCAS does not euthanize rabbits due to space constraints. As our rescue is currently and always at capacity with rabbits rescued in other counties, we appreciate that MCAS is able to accommodate lost and abandoned rabbits rescued in Multnomah County.
