Message from Owner

My baby girl Sassy got out of the hse between 12:30am and 5:00am Friday July 17th from pulling the top panel down from my kitchen window and jumping out of the hse. She isn’t used to being around children or dogs. Nor is she used to being in the heat. She has always been an inside cat with other cats. She got the name Sassy for having that sassy personality. Sassy has no problem showing said personality towards others. Sassy has had chronic dermatitis and was actually starting to get over a flare. She also has a cluster of 4-5 bumps under her front left paw at the armpit area. She may or may not have been wearing an old gray flea collar. If anyone see her, please contact me at so that I can bring my girl back home. She’s missed terribly by us all! Thank you!

I’ve had another week without my Sassy girl having come home to me and the rest of the crew. No possible sightings of her either. She has to be out there somewhere. She needs to eat and drink and shelter from this weather that she hasn’t been used to until she got out of my hse. I tried to contact a local group to ask for help in looking for her and didn’t get a response that I had hoped that I could get from them and I’ve been very disappointed with them. I’m one person and all I was asking for was some extra bodies to either walk around to help me look for her or to help advise me what else that I needed to be doing. I’m pleading with you all to keep helping by either printing her photo to give to anyone not using social media, sharing my post to friends in the area, and looking out for her if you walk regularly throughout the town of Kenova and Ceredo. My timing has been extremely limited on searching for her due my rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, work, and caring for family. I’ve already placed one of the litter pans outside along with food and water dishes that belong to her with no luck thus far. I’ve placed a flyer holder on the front gate to my hse if anyone wants to stop by and grab one. I will be getting more posters placed due to the recent weather coming through taking them down. Sassy will definitely be started on another bout of dermatitis by this point and will need her flea to help calm the symptoms down. I appreciate any help that anyone can provide to help me get my girl back home. I’m absolutely sick not knowing where my Sassy girl is and that she hasn’t been reunited with me yet.

Please ask your neighbors to check their outbuildings and garages. Cats will go in out of curiosity and no one knows they're in there and they shut the door.

Here is a photo from her being on the top of one of my doors. She loves to jump from one door to another and will sleep there for hours. She manages to keep her balance while doing this and it amazes me. She will likely be developing another bout of dermatitis and she will probably be licking herself until she is bleeding and her skin will begin to ooze from it. Giving her the flea treatments regularly help to keep the dermatitis flares at bay. She does have some joint swelling that occurs when she is having a flare and it will tend to be with her front paws. During her last flare, she developed a small tear on one of her front paws pads from the inflammation and it had bled some, but I fear that may be worse after the jump from the window and her being outside in the elements for so many days now. I beg anyone in the Kenova and Ceredo areas to share my post and to print a flyer for anyone without social media to share it on. I greatly appreciate any help that anyone can give me. If you think you see her, please snap a photo of her if you can then text it to me at 304-633-0052. Please note the intersection that you’ve seen her and I’ll get there as quickly as possible to look for her. Thank you!
