Message from Owner

Fed her on and off for months and then she stayed in a shelter on my deck through the cold and storms. Disappeared the day after last storm. Is madly in love with my hse cat and he with her. He misses her.

Christina, the cat is missing in Brooklyn not Manhattan. She knows her way around the neighborhood. My concern is that she was injured during the aftermath of the storm and maybe someone took her in. I'm hoping it's nothing worse. Thank you all for the offers of help and prayers.

Cats tend to hide close by so keep checking around where you live. Check animal care centers on 110th between 1st and 2nd in Harlem. Check all their locations and make a lost pets report with them, check daily. You can check online if you can’t get there. Harlem location is the main one. Ask neighbors to check property he may have gone in somewhere and got locked in accidentally. Check at dawn and dusk, they tend to hide and come out at those times. Ask around for anyone who feeds strays he may show up looking for food because she will get hungry. Hang flyers. Check found section of pawboost.com Search social media for local rescues. Not all have facilities and are online Call local vets, shelters, precincts., In case someone finds him and brings him in. Hang flyers. Check Craigslist and other sites that may sell pets Good luck.

First put out a big bowl of water. Then, did you try the kitty litter trick? Take some litter from their box and sprinkle outside leading to your door then call them constantly especially at dawn and dusk and when it's quiet. Kitty will follow its scent and your voice home. It's no doubt scared and hiding. You can also try a stinky can of sardines! Or if kitty is a cuddler, try putting an article of your clothing by your door. Also check area garages, under car hoods, shelters, Nextdoor and Pawboost for found kitties in and near your zip. Don’t give up. And post flyers around your neighborhood. Good luck! And please keep your kitty inside if you let it out!! Between coyotes, diseases, bad actors and cars, there are so many ways harm can come to them. Finally, if your kitty isn’t fixed, please spay/neuter!

When I originally saw her I posted on facebook and was told neighbors a few blocks from here were feeding her and her brother since they were kittens. I believe they had her spayed but not ear tipped. I've been feeding her on and off for about8 or 9 months. Never showed signs of heat. Quite the opposite. She beats off any male that comes near.

The choice to sit outside on her cushion was hers. Her shelter is right nearby.

I don’t see an ear tip. Is she fixed?! If not and she went into heat she could be anywhere. Also unclear if she has another home.
