Message from Owner

Our Beloved Boots is 18 years old and a big part of two families. He is very friendly, loves to meet new people and will seek attention and treats. He likes to wander, but usually doesn't wander far from home, and nearly always returns for meals and snuggles at night. We are very worried and need him home! If you see him, please try to corral him and contact Susan by phone or text.

Go out with a flashlight calling his name and checking bushes, trees, under cars at night and early morning hours. Check your home, neighbors, businesses for crawlspaces, sheds, garages in case he’s hiding, sought a cool place, or trapped and cannot get out. Check with Animal Control often in person in case someone turns him in. Take them a pic to post. Post fliers and on Next Door App. Good luck.

PLEASE READ!! I SWEAR BY THIS!! They don't go far. Get a humane trap ASAP. I've used it to catch 4 of my own. Worked every time. 3 days, 5 days, over a week and the longest was 5 weeks!! They don't go far. Don't listen to anyone who says put food out. They eat it when no one is around and leave. Put dirty clothes that smell like you in it. I bait it with mackerel, changing it out daily. Caught at night each time. Make the trap the only option for food. Put the trap by the front door or on your porch. Tractor Supply has good prices on traps, and rescue groups often rent them out. I've also caught about 20 strays I wanted to fix. Very effective. Never give up.

Post on Pawboost and Nextdoor. Put up colorful signs and hand out fliers in area where the cat was last seen. Check with area shelters daily and go there in person too for walk throughs.

Please don't tell people to chase him! Ask them to tell you where he was seen. If he is chased he could run further away. Cats go into survival mode and often don't even recognize their owners voice. They do recognize smell. Drag dirty clothes around the area leading back to house and to an open window or to humane trap.
