Leave an entrance open, even crack window that he can sneak back in under the cover of darkness. Many hide during the day and won't respond to being called , but will sneak back in if possible. Often between the hours of 1 and 4 AM.

Put out a piece of clothing with a familiar scent on it and go out at dawn and dusk crack open a can or shake some dry and check underneath everything around your property under cars and bushes under sheds and in garages and other neighbors backyard areas etc and file lost reports with your local surrounding shelters incase someone finds your kitty and surrenders them and check everywhere in your house closets and cabinets and shelves in closets and washer and dryer and loose vents and garage etc and you can always rent a trap from a shelter cover with a sheet, get some smelly KFC and take off the bone set the trap by your house and see what happens 😊 Lost and Found Pets of Women's Animal Center Bucks County SPCA Bucks County, PA - Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets - PawBoost

Shared check in & under sheds, my cat once got out and was trapped in a neighbors shed, check your shed, ask neighbors,to check in & under there shed. Check under car & under hood of car in engine area. My mother’s cat escaped & ran under car & climbed into hood from under car. I witnessed this happen that is how we got her cat so quickly. Open garage door if you have one and kitty run in. If you have no other pets you can open front or back door to your home where kitty ran out or late at night & early morning, call kitty, open can of cat food, so kitty can run in easily, since kitty may be hiding close by & scared to come out but opening door sometimes kitty will see easy access and run in. Of course stay by your door while left open while calling kitty. Lock any other notes you have in a room while open door so they don’t escape. This has worked for some people. Walk late at night & early morning around area calling kitty with smelly food, treats and opening cans cat food. Post flyers, notify local vet, rescue & animal shelters of missing kitty. Check all places in person to see if kitty brought in. I would definitely knock on neighbors doors all around, up to at least 10 houses away& several streets away front and back & give out flyers. If kitty hopped fence or crossed street could be streets away. I would post lost kitty billboard on my front lawn with photo. Check attic my kitty ran up there once and got trapped. Good luck hope kitty is found soon.
