When I lived in Houston and my cat got out, I walked the neighborhood/blocks around my house calling for her at intervals between 12-3am (when it is really quiet) for several nights and I was able to draw her back towards our house and eventually I caught her in our yard. I have given this advice many times and so far most people have been able to find their cats. Don't give up! Your cat is probably just scared, hiding and needs to be drawn out! 🙏🙏🙏

Debbie Thompson Mancuso thanks! She definitely went out. She is very vocal and anxious inside the house, always with us. She is an older cat who has made a couple of moves with us and doesn'tlike to let us out of her sight. Will do what you suggest.

Place some of your and your family's dirty clothing plus some of cats bedding/toys outside in yard or near house , a cat can follow the scent home from blocks away sometimes .. also check all culverts , up high in all trees , inside/on top/under all standing structures nearby .. a scared cat will find a place to hide and sometimes stay there for days .. also , are you sure the cat ran outside ? If not then check everywhere inside where a cat can fit ..my friends cat was missing for 5 days and on the 5th day found her stuck inside a closed drawer in her son's bedroom

Same thing happened to my cat on Halloween not far from this area. I left my garage cracked open last night and found her in there this morning! Praying for your kitty 🙏
