Description

Farrah went missing on March 6th near Greenway & Dysart in Surprise, AZ, and we believe someone may have taken her in, thinking she was a stray. It’s now been over two months, and we are still searching for her every day. She’s a 9-year-old Maine Coon mix with a distinct black stripe down her back, a long tail with a black tip, and bright green eyes. Farrah loves people...she grew up in a salon and is used to attention. She’s gentle, affectionate, and would likely walk right up to someone without hesitation, which is why we believe someone may have taken her in thinking she was lost or abandoned. Please take a moment to look at her photos. If you’ve seen a cat like her or know someone who recently took one in, please contact me. No judgment. We just want her . Farrah is family, and I won’t stop searching until I bring her .

I'm so sorry your furbaby has gone missing. Cats don't *usually* go far like dogs do. Indoor cats will usually stay within a 5 house radius. Knock on your neighbor's doors ASAP and ask if you can check their backyards and leave them with a flyer and your number. **If your kitty inadvertently hitched a ride or was chased by something, then keep checking shelters and FB groups for found cats all across the valley. Mine went missing in December so I've learned a lot about where to post, maybe you've already done all this, but here are some immediate tips you need to take: 1) Put up flyers and go door to door in your neighborhood. Indoor cats aren't usually farther than 4 houses in any direction. Outdoor kitties will go as far as a mile or more. 2) Wait until it's dark and quiet and bring a VERY bright flashlight to shine under cars and bushes. If there's a bag or box of treats he's used to hearing being shaken, take the box with you and shake it while you search. 3) Leave your door open with stinky food (wet tuna) and a blanket or clothing that smells like you. 4) Post on Nextdoor 5) Report the kitty missing to your microchip company and to the county shelter and check their map. 6) Join the missing cat Facebook groups and look there. Found and lost cats are posted daily 7) Use this video, walking slowly and stopping every few yards to look behind/around you.https://youtu.be/KZLBNrRa0hQ?si=Y_8vgxQZGqrMvRjG 8.) Make a post with Arizona – Lost Dogs, Cats & Pets – PawBoost Community and check all the cat groups: MISSING CATS IN ARIZONA (FOR LOST CATS ONLY) FOUND CATS IN ARIZONA (cats that have been found and cat sightings) Lost Cats of Arizona Straydar for Arizona, USA Best of luck ❤️

For Lost cat do immediately h Cats do not wander far from home. Try putting some of your dirty clothes outside sometimes a familiar smell helps them find their way home, even their cat bed. Put water out but no food. Cats usually don't go far.. They hunker down in the daytime especially in the heat and come out at night. Put up fliers talk to neighbors check under shrubs, sheds anywhere it is quiet and safe and would make a good hiding place... Check at night with flashlight don't give up💕sharing with prayers. Make sure he isn't locked in a neighbors garage. Dusk and Dawn walk neighborhood shaking a treat bag calling his name. Sending prayers🙏 There is controversy about putting dirty kitty litter box out, some say "Their" smell attracts other animals(coyotes etc) and others say it helps the cat find it's way home. Your call on this. If microchipped check info to make sure current and ask company to flag as Missing/Lost. Don't give up❤️Post on your local NEXTDOOR. Since they don’t go far possibly a neighbor has seen. Put up flyers
