MISSING CAT — PLEASE HELP! 🐾💔 My cat has been missing since the day we had the hurricane alert. We had to leave the door open for a little while to bring in our patio furniture and outdoor decorations, and he got outside. We saw him outside, but he was scared and kept running away, so we couldn’t catch him. He is not used to being outside on his own, and we are very worried about him. We have three other cats who are used to going in and out, but they always stay close to home. This one is different, and he has never been missing like this before. If you have seen him or know where he might be, please let me know! I will come right away to get him. Even if you just spot him around your neighborhood, please send me a message. We just want to bring him home safely. We miss him so much! ❤️🙏 Thank you so much for any help or information.

Put the litter box on your porch so he can smell his way back home. Cats can get lost, they need a scent to find home again. They also will come home between 2am-5am.

You must create a scent trail to your home. My vet had me do this when boy went missing! He said to put out his favorite toy, bedding , littler box cleaned out or not, preferably all in a fenced yard, or in the garage with the door open and enough for him to get in. Also, put out a used pillowcase of the owner along with some of the owners old shoes as well. He’s hiding or sleeping during the day. Cats are nocturnal so you won’t see him until at nighttime, especially being his color. My boy got home at 3:30 in the morning.
