Don Sphynx, dark color markings on back. Some form a heart

Message from Owner

Our beloved Hecate has gone missing and we are heartbroken. She is a hairless Don Sphynx cat with very distinct dark markings on her back (some even look like a small heart). Hecate is a sweet indoor cat and is likely very cold and scared right now. If you live in [Insert Neighborhood or City], please check your porches, garages, or sheds. If you see her, please call or text immediately at. Please share this post to help bring her home safely!

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Look at night with a flashlight while calling her name. Look especially under bushes and in neighbors yards garages and sheds. Look up in trees, Leave something outside with her scent on it like her bedding. Leave something outside with your scent on it like an unwashed piece of clothing. Leave out smelly cat food. Hang signs with her photo. Call and visit local shelters and veterinary offices. Good luck!🍀

Indoor only cats hide when they get out. You’ll find her under a deck, porch or shed at your house or the neighbors. Check day and night with flashlights as the eyes will glow. Alert neighbors, hang flyers. Leave a trail of dirty clothes with your scent on them leading up to your door, and leave the door cracked open as they often sneak back in on their own when it’s quiet. I do cat rescue, these tips do help! PS, do not put a litter box outside, it attracts other animals who scent mark it, driving your cat away.

Thank you all for the info. This is the hardest thing I've had to do. She does have a microchip and I've also reported her lost with that company as well. Did have some leads saying she was in Prospect but nothing solid. Animal control, Prospect PD, Waterbury PD, Naugatuck PD and State Police Troop I have been made aware also. I do have a reward for her return. I really just want my best friend back.
