I would like to come on here and report that Demon has been found this AM!!!! We posted on one of our neighborhood Facebook pages we missed on Friday and within 10 minutes a neighbor a few streets away let us know they found him walking around. We were able to drive there right away and get him. Confirmed he was ours and got him home safe. He will be taken to the vet soon to just do a check up and make sure he is alright and we have learned some very valuable lessons. Thank you all so much for posting on here and giving advice. We got our baby home.

I think you already have excellent advice on how to get him back. And I’m sure you know this is a bad time for a black cat to be out there. I tried leashes and harnesses on young cats years ago. It just didn’t work for me or my cats. And I know once a cat gets loose even in a back yard they are over the fence in seconds. I’m so sorry. You thought it was safe. When you get him back, and at his age, and the fact he now knows how to get loose you will make him inside only. I love black cats. Every one I’ve ever had was a love bunny. Good luck to you and your baby.
