Message from Owner

She’s an emotional support dog for my dad, if she’s spotted outside she sometimes responds to her name, Athena, she responds quicker with food or water, she was taken by a woman in Sedano’s wearing a black and white floral shirt, taking it from a worker and claiming it was hers before walking away and driving off in a black 4 door SUV, please dm me if you’ve seen her or know who might’ve taken her, we’re offering a cash reward

Make flyers as soon as possible and take to ALL local veterinarians in your area. When dogs are found a lot of people take to veterinarians to get scanned for a chip. Post on Neighbors, Ring, Facebook lost and found and Pawboost. Not everyone uses the same sites so it’s good to post in different sites. Go to Miami County animal shelter in Doral. If your dog is not there keep going every several days this place is a shelter.

Are there cameras in Sedano’s parking lot? If so, see if a photo was taken of the license plate and/or the person who took her. File a police report. There are 2 people claiming to have her in the comments; they might be scammers (or one of them is unless they live together) but contacting them couldn’t hurt; just don’t let them send you a code and don’t give any money up front. If they claim to have her, meet at a police station. Hang bilingual flyers. If she’s microchipped, contact the company to report her lost/stolen and make sure your contact information is correct.
