Black cat with primordial pouch. White spot/airtag. Skittish

Message from Finder

Saw a black cat that was sitting in the middle of the road, seemed like it couldn’t be a stray. Saw either an AirTag or a white spot on the chest. When tried approaching, the cat kept leaving.

Masha Biktashova, thanks so much for sharing. I'll keep searching for a matching lost post.

Giulia Galligani I was not able to tell. Even the spot on the chest I couldn’t tell if it was fur or an AirTag.

Diana Ellis I don’t live in that area. And the cat was too skittish for me to get even close. Let alone Check if it’s chipped. I’m just posting a sighting of the cat in case somebody recognizes it.

Was the cat wearing a collar or anything?

Thank you so much for keeping an eye on this found black cat with a white spot on the chest. I believe I've seen a matching lost post. Would it be possible for someone to get close enough to scan kitty for a chip (you may find a neighborhood volunteer on Nextdoor who will come to you with a portable scanner)? Have you searched this page and others in the area for “32803" or "Hillcrest" or "black" or "spot" or "chest“ — keywords that may have been used to describe the cat in a lost post -- to find a match? If not chipped and you can confirm gender, I'll help by searching elsewhere and let you know what I find. Please share on other local lost and found pages, if possible, as well as Nextdoor and ask anyone claiming kitty for veterinary records to prove guardianship (there’ve been multiple reports of people trying to claim found cats to use as dog fighting bait). Thank you again for your kindness! https://www.pawboost.com/blog/what-to-do-if-you-find-a-stray-pet-a-step-by-step-guide-for-creating-a-happy-reunion/?utm_swu=4248&utm_campaign=FoundPetTipsMarketingFound&utm_content=link&utm_source=email&utm_medium=email
