I think u mean Wheeler Road. Could be just taking a walk. check with neighbors, post on nextdoor or any neighborhood facebook pages or email lists. If there is no owner, coax with food into your garage or indoors or into a carrier. If you have a carrier, any clinic can scan for a chip. If not, call dispatch 608-255-2345 and they can pick up from a garage or a carrier and take to the humane society. Dispatch works only from 8-5 or so weekdays. If you can house the cat in your garage or bathroom overnight, then call in the morning. If you cannot and have or can borrow a carrier, then you can turn it in to the UW Vet Hospital, 515 Easterday Drive on campus. They are a holding facility and will transfer the cat to the Dane Co Humane Society.
