Message from Owner

🚨‼️MISSING CAT – PLEASE HELP BRING SRPKA HOME (MISSISSAUGA VALLEY)‼️🚨 Earlier today, Srpka somehow managed to get out of the hse and has not returned since. She is not an outdoor cat, and on the rare occasions she does get outside, she usually returns within an hour. Srpka went missing between 2:30–3:00 PM today (October 8th in the Mississauga Valley area, home located on Hyacinthe Blvd. She typically never wanders far from home, which makes her disappearance extremely concerning. Srpka is 19 years old and terminally ill, so we are incredibly worried about her well-being. Her family misses her dearly, and we are desperate to bring her home safely. A few details about Srpka: * She is a very gentle and shy cat. * She is small and very thin. * She has a shaved patch on one of her legs. * She is microchipped. * She is a grey/brown tabby with white markings. * She usually has food on her face as she’s a messy eater. We are asking everyone in the surrounding area to please keep an eye out for her. If possible, check around your property, under decks, in bushes, garages, or anywhere a frightened cat might hide. Having Srpka back home with her family would mean more to us than words can express, especially given her age and health. If you have seen Srpka, have found her, or have any information about her whereabouts, PLEASE DM me or comment immediately. We are extremely worried and just want our girl home. Please share this post to help us reach as many people in the area as possible. ❤️

FIRST FEW DAYS 1- do not put food or litter outside because he will attract about life or other cats, and it will scare him out of the area! He’s gonna be too stressed to eat for a few days anyway Don’t leave any of his things outside because again you’re gonna attract other cats to his smell. You can leave some of your things outside. 2- LEAVE YOUR DOORS OPEN. HE’S MOST LIKELY GOING TO TRY AND COME BACK ON HIS OWN, ESPECIALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WHEN IT’S VERY QUIET CONSIDER LEAVING DOORS OPEN 3- sit outside in the middle of the night when it’s very dark and talk to him a lot of cats are too scared to purchase their owners but if he is brave enough, he might do it if you see him do not approach him just keep sitting down and have him come all the way up to you This could take 15 or 20 minutes 4- you need to set up some cameras around your property so you can see if he’s circling around at night especially if you’re not gonna leave your doors open for him Can you get some Wi-Fi cameras or something immediately today, make sure you put microSD cards in them so they record motion so that you’re not having to watch them live 24 seven 5- talk to all your neighbours that have security cameras give them a piece of paper with your phone number and his description ask them to check 6- talk to all your neighbours that have a deck you can go on Google satellite view and check if they have a deck in the backyard and if they do ask them to go, to look for your cat. When you walk in and start calling him in a happy voice, because he doesn’t know your foot steps from a predator so lead with your voice, and always bring a strong flashlight and some treats with you. If you do see him underneath the deck, barricade it with some thing and bring a carrier and then go back and try and have him come up to you. If he will not, then you might need to get a humane trap or borrow one, but most likely he’s going to try and come back on his own. 7- Keep calling him from the house don’t call him from all over the neighbourhood you’re gonna confuse him which way to go Missing Cat don’t go far he’s not gonna be across town he’s gonna be probably within 5-7 houses radius . Very very close

Shared. If you have not yet done ALL these things, do them now. If you have, do them again and go further in your search. Notify Mississauga Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies in garages, sheds, basement etc. IF she's an unspayed female in heat, she may have been chased by intact males and have trouble finding her way back home. If she was injured she may be hiding. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot her searching for food. Leave her used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door she left NOW and check late this afternoon. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

Check the Mississauga Animal Services website- found pets section, in case she’s found and turned in to their shelter. Put up posters all over the neighbourhood. Go out and walk the area at night while calling for her and shaking a bag of treats. They can hear you better at night and usually aren’t too far from home. Good luck!

Try putting the litter box out by the door and anything that cat lies on. They have a great sense of smell don't usually go too far probably hiding they are nocturnal. This did work for me I hope it can work for you good luck
